Since 2014, the La Bouée Couronne Association has been working on behalf of fishermen, their safety at sea, and the protection of the marine and coastal environment in the departments of Pointe-Noire and Kouilou. It works in collaboration with the administrative authorities of the departments of Pointe-Noire and Kouilou. The Association for the Defense and Preservation of the Environment (ADPE) was born out of its members' desire to take action to promote sustainable agriculture and gender equality, and to protect forests and aquatic biodiversity. This organization was created thanks to the determination of its members, who have witnessed the destruction of their immediate environment by individuals and organizations that engage in anti-ecological activities and show little concern for future generations.
